Science:
in Alberta classes. This started in three
classes [Grade 2,7 & 11] in September'95 and is continued the following year
with Grade
4-6 & 8, in coordination with School Week at the
Calgary Science Centre. Now this "page" is an intermittent, semi-static
ongoing project to see what
relevant resources are available "out there". (The topics are defined by
Alberta Ed.)
Suggestions, links, etc. to johnstos@cuug.ab.ca or educational
matters to johnstl@home.com
are appreciated.

constructing devices in which energy and motion are transferred" &
"explore and evaluate variations to the design ... demonstrating that
control is an important element..."

materials"..."Construct simple circuits, and apply an understanding of
circuits to the construction and control of motorized devices."

in the sky, and identify pattern and order in those movements." Sites
such as

movement? SKY Online , North American

some naked-eye and binocular highlights. A local resource is

- What causes the APPARENT movement of sky objects on a daily and a
seasonal cycle. What are the moon's cycles? How can we describe these
movements (ie. make models)?
- How are all these sky objects similar AND different, and by what
procedures and technologies have we gathered this knowledge?
