Mikey Turtle

by Alan Dewar, Jeff Dewar, David Dewar and Bob Dewar

Once upon a time, in a cottage in the middle of the forest, there was a little turtle name Mikey. The cottage was not his, but had been built beside the stream where he had been raised, and one day, he had decided to wander in and see who his neighbors were.

As it turned out, the cottage belonged to a rabbit named Minnee Mi. Minnee was an old friend of Mikey's, who Mikey hadn't seen in a long time -- 30 years, to be precise -- and who had built the cottage so she could see Mikey more often.

That night, there was a tragic flash flood which washed Mikey's family far downstream. Mikey was griefstricken, and Minnee Mi barely stopped him from committing suicide, with the help of her new friend:

Her friend was Jo Skunk. Jo had been a secret admirer of Mikey for 14.5 years. So she was delighted to help out. She rescued all that had been washed away and life was restored to normal for all forest critters everywhere.
