Mission Report from HQ

or All Does Not End Well

by David Dewar, Bob Dewar, Jeff Dewar, Alan Dewar and Mary Lou Dewar

Dear Codename: Silk Kat
I hope this letter finds you well. The enclosed angel-ball replaces the expected cat-thing as your proof of commitment to The Cause. Your next objective is to meet Agents 5 and 6 of the Triple Nines, and borrow their clothing. Their respective codenames are Jumpy and Kanny.

However they did not like those code names so they changed them to Frisky and Sport. That confused everybody who worked with the agents. As a result the entire mission was in trouble. But then along came Agent 8 who took charge and suggested a new approach.

Agent 8, a.k.a. "Lotus," gave Agents 5 and 6 new codenames, based on their numbers. Agent 6's new codename was June, after the sixth month of the year... wait, you know what? Scratch all that, let's go straight to their current codenames. ... what do you mean, you're still writing what I'm saying? Okay, fine, well ... the mission! I should finish explaining the mission.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it (not that you really have a choice), is to climb to the roof of the building and wait for the door to open. You will be met by Agent Amphibio, who will just have completed a long climb. Take the package that Agent Amphibio will be carrying and jump off the roof with it. We'll explain the rest as you descend.

The package contained a short-jump parachute, guaranteed to open as soon as touched by new hands. The chute also contained a 2-way radio for communication. Everything would have turned out fine, if only the descent hadn't coincided with the annual Rock Festival & Fireworks Show. Too bad!
