You Never Know!

It was a warm, spring day when Tammy Sue opened her eyes that Saturday morning. "Great," she said, with an exhilarated feeling and a smile on her pretty face. "What should I do today? ..." she thought, "work on the garden or study for that all-important exam for Astro-Travel School?"

As it turned out, she was able to do neither, for just then, the door bell rang. Still in her pyjamas, Tammy Sue crawled out of bed and peered out the peep hole in her front door. Of all the people in the world, she never would have expected to see him -- her long-lost twin brother, thought to have perished in the Mars launch explosion of 2017! She threw open the door and grabbed Max in a big hug, not caring that the neighbors were amused by her pretty bunny jammies.

But it wasn't Max. Not the Max Tammy thought it was, anyway. It was the handsome mailman.

"Um, what are you doing?" he asked. "I'm just delivering a package for you."
"You mean you're not--"
"My name is Maxis Francey Edd. I may very well be the person you are looking for. However, I am suffering from a condition called amnesia. I cannot remember anything that has happened to me except for the last few days. You are the first person I have met who recognizes me."

To solve the mystery Tammy organized a DNA test to check out the identity of the mail man. The test showed him to be her identical twin. But how could he be "identical," as she was female and he was male. Eventually the mail man remembered the past and told Tammy he had had a sex change. He/She really was Tammy's twin sister. Thereafter the two lived happily ever after.
